2 night stay in the charming guest cottage in the vineyards of award-winning Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines Swartland Farm on the slopes of the Kasteelberg, near Riebeek Kasteel. Includes a wine tasting and vineyard tour (Fridays only). Subject to availability, excludes January to March, our harvest period.
Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines was awarded South Africa’s top winery four times (in 2014, 2016, 2019, 2020) by the Platter’s Wine Guide. In addition, winemaker Andrea Mullineux was awarded 2016 International Winemaker of the Year by US publication Wine Enthusiast and the winery was the only South African winery to be included in Wine & Spirits magazine’s (USA) Top 100 wineries of the world for 2019.
The 2-bedroomed, cosy cottage is at the top of Roundstone Farm, with stunning views of the rolling Swartland hills and Paardeberg in the distance. There is a smaller kitchenette for basic food preparation but we recommend dining at one of the excellent restaurants in Riebeek Kasteel and having a drink on the stoep of the Royal Hotel. This cottage is only available to guests of the Mullineux, and not open to the public. This is a place to escape to for peace and quiet, surrounded by nature.
